The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through a clean.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful in narrow corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping.  good robot vacuum  is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum.  good robot vacuum  to install and performs well however, this is something that you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and effectively. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. These include a power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with a microfiber pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able capture many of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was beginning or finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the requirement to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to contain multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base has several control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets caught in a blockage like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
